Harry Morgan, a quintessential character actor had some very big shoes to fill when Col Henry Blake left and was later killed off in MASH. Not many people could have carried that off; without it feeling trite or a pathetic imitation of Colonel Blake, to be honest. Harry Morgan took on the role and made it his own. Colonel Potter was extremely old army...WW One...against the nuances of the newer officer ranks of the 4077th; yet he fit like a hand to a glove with his personailty. RIP Harry Morgan

I always loved Harry Morgan's distinct voice. Very deep voice, deep intellect, and deep human being. Rest in Peace!
