    The original used coffee cans connected with 3/4 or 1" copper tubing IIRC. Also included a small valve to drain water getting into the air transfer tube accidently.

  • This is "The Back Yard Stirling Engine" featured in "Scientific American" magazine several years ago. Do a web search by name.

    Water is heated on one side, cooled on the other and air is transferred from one inverted coke can to the other by an air pipe not visible in the video111
