The original used coffee cans connected with 3/4 or 1" copper tubing IIRC. Also included a small valve to drain water getting into the air transfer tube accidently.

Water is heated on one side, cooled on the other and air is transferred from one inverted coke can to the other by an air pipe not visible in the video111

Now, I know how Stirling engines work... And I know how alpha Stirlings work... but htf does this work??
