"Christian Drake is the 2008 Berkeley Grand Slam Champion and a four-time National Poetry Slam semifinalist. He has been selected twice to feature on the National Poetry Slam finals stage, and his work has been covered around the United States and Europe by such luminaries as Andrea Gibson and Gayle Danley. A former urban forester, planetarium guide, and aquarium naturalist, hes the worlds only eco-billy poet: a little bit environmentalism, a little bit rock and roll. Christian is well-known on the West Coast as the co-host of the venerable Berkeley Slam and the infamous Tourettes Without Regrets show, where he mixes blood & guts humor and political battle cries with contemplative, spiritual imagery.
