Taken at the 2008 Spring Balkan fest in Chicago

Sorry if this is kinda shaky, i was trying to tape it with a hand camera and watch at the same time.

  • Bulgarian Sounds of Rhythm . Guitar is not Bulgarian folk Instument - why sing with this../ this is not correct!!

  • @diyandobrev Very true. I guess they did not have a tambura on hand, so had to substitute with a guitar.

  • Тhe second melody is orginally Jangurica but they have changed the rhythm to Dajchovo. Very interesting! :)

  • i've heard the rhythm of the second oro referred to as "devetorka" for Macedonian dances at this tempo

    but this may be a name more common among dance groups in the West than among locals
