Detroit is plagued with unemployment, crime, fires and desolate neighborhoods like this one on the city's north side. Bob Lang, who grew up in and who has lived in the neighborhood for more than 70 years takes us on a walk along Exeter Street - and laments about what has happened to the city he loves.
Amazing assessment. Very enlightening.

The guy behind the camera sounds like Michael Moorer. I hope he stuffed his fat face before filming.

He must teacher at Wayne State. Sounds like we need just a couple of good government programs and it will turn everything around. Detroit has been "coming back" since I was in high school....30 yrs ago.
I hope it does come back but we had to move out. When officers Budzyn and Nevers were put in prison for "murdering" that crack head, we moved out.
Sam Riddle called Detroit "the 3rd world" just b/4 he went to prison. He was right.

Your own people?
Apart from the indiginous people that were there when the first settlers arrived America has been populated completely by immigrants.

This guy is awesome. He is so right in what he says but does not put the blame on any particular person or group of people. He is also right in saying we have everything going for us, and even with that pitiful backdrop, he sounds hopeful.

This gentleman is a well spoken, extremely articulate (obviously) highly intelligent individual.
There aren't enough around like Bob.
