oh man.. nearly one decade and not ONE game which got a fighting system nearly as good and realistic as severance.

The BEST 3d person close combat system ever made in my humble opinion :D !!! I wish there was a second chapter of this :(

I think the only real issue I had with that game, was that if you had run out of healing potions, therw as no regenration to fall back on. Even if it had been a very slow regeneration, it would still have been a welcome addition, because it would allow you to keep the momentum going for a bit longer.

Actually, according to the game scripts, it is a Troll. The bigger orcs are termed Great Orcs.
Not that it makes any difference. Some people call the small Orcs Goblins.
The little guys that look like plucked chickens are called "Cositas" which translates from the Spanish as "Little Things."

Yes. Only on PC. Best hack'n'slash ever made IMHO and the gameplay code is written in Python so highly moddable.
It came out in 2000 so you have to search around to find a copy.

You would usually only see the 'matrix' effect when playing online. It's triggered when there is a kill. The clip is from a mod called 'Gladiator', where the same thing is enabled. It really shows off the engine capablities when arms and legs go flying in all directions. 8¬O
