Back To The Future Part 2 for the Amstrad CPC!

We looked at Part 3 yesterday, so now we're jumping in the DeLorean, firing up the flux capaciter and setting the time circuits back in time for Part 2! Part 3 was really good, how does this compare? Hmmmm ....

The movie itself, was probably my favourite out the trilogy - thankfully in the game they've made use of the coolest thing in the movie...and probably *any* movie .... the HOVER SKATEBOARD! Woop!

Music is awesome - David Whittaker always delivers :)

  • Terrible indeed! Just like the 2nd film itself. The original and part III are better.

  • @happyfa5 Funny really, as I liked the 2nd film best myself - but only just

  • Terrible game! One of the worst for the CPC

  • @thisvicecity1 LOL believe me there's FAR worse!! (eg checkout PitFighter vid I did recently!)

  • No part 1 on the AMI?

  • @wrestletube1 There is ... I did try the game not long after doing this vid and gave it a good go ... but it's horribly broken and just generally dreadful. I could be weeks and weeks trying to make a longplay to completion vid and torture myself. I have better things to do really!!

  • I'm from Canada and have never even come close to owning an Amstrad CPC but even I'm getting pissed off at the number of half assed direct Speccy ports it received. The CPC didn't deserve this, it was a good platform with a vibrant colour palette so BTTF shouldn't be monochrome. Very cool video btw. :)

  • 1955? The second hoverboard level says it's 2015 instead of 1955, unless I'm wrong? Comming to a computer? lol

  • @CholoCPC this was the best answer for my question...1000Xthanx Cholo!

  • @Misel982001 Well, the spec ports are "copy and paste" if i understand this right. It isnt the source they copy but the actual speccy code itself usually. So they dont have to make a new game engine or anything as all they do it "emulate" the code basicly. Problem is the spec code is usually already optimized so when the spec has to use like a 2 byte commando to plot a pixel on a 2.3k screen the cpc has to translate that using 10 bytes to a 16k screen. Rebuild source would run faster of cause.
