1520 was a magic frequency...like 560 and 610. But in this case, two stations dominated the Western Hemisphere. WKBW covered the Northeast, most of Canada, and into Europe over the Pole. This is Storz' Mighty KOMA, which covered 27 western states and parts of Canada from Oklahoma City. This was done in 2008, with new pics and the contributions of many others over the years.

  • I grew up in southern Manitoba listening to KOMA...I loved how all the DJ'S had this real cool southern drawl that none of the local jocks had in Winnipeg...I always used to listen to the KOMA Coca Cola Countdown on friday nights..and Larry Neil and the wax museum on sunday nights...KOMA must have had the biggest record collection in the USA because Larry always had what ever people would request..Buzz Barton and Rick Barber ( now at 850 KOA Denver ) were favs of mine...KOMA was a true legend
