Stanley Kubricks version was a fucking masterpiece with a capital M.
This one is fucking pathetic with a capital P.

@HazxHD Yeah well...that's just like your opinion man.
Both suck when compared to the novel.

So much more terrifying than the film's version of this scene.

I loved the movie but after reading the novel I felt Kubrick's adaption was lacking the true horror of the original work. The book scared me WAYYYY more than the original movie.
Looks like this one follows the book verbatim, I must watch it!

"That was... UAAH!" :D

in fact Kubricks version doesn't even deserve it's title for being a poor adaption

@CoDWARRIOZ The woman in psycho ended up the way she did because she HAD a shower curtain, not because she DIDN'T (see how that works :-) )

@JeffWithAnF Ahh yes, a little scarier. BUT, the chick in the original was Much hotter (Until jack kisses her that is)

The Kubrick version may have been better in some peoples opinion, But obviously stephen king hated it. Hence the re-adaption (NOT remake). Kubrick detracted from one of the main plot-points in the story, that being jack's alcohol problem. Look It up on IMDB.COM,.... Originally i saw stephen kings version on tv around '97-'98, before i saw or new of the 1980 version. I did love kubricks version, but much prefer kings version, as it told the story in so much more detail.
I didn't know there was a remake

@667766667 This is not a remake of Kubrick’s movie. This is a re-adaptation of the novel with the script written by Stephen King himself.

Good scene but...NO! You do NOT remake the shining.

@grgemclr1992 This is not a remake it is a re-adaptation of the novel. The teleplay was written by the author of the novel which Kubrick based his movie on.
