DEADLY WOMEN - BORN BAD PT. 1 - GERTRUDE BANISZEWSKI

This is a better looking version of the episode "Born Bad" from the series "Deadly Women". Gertrude Baniszewski tortures and kills Sylvia Likens in 1965 Indianapolis with the help of her children and other neighborhood kids. While staying in the Baniszewski home from July 4 to October 26, 1965, Sylvia Likens endured mutilation, branding, beatings, burning by cigarettes and matches, starvation, psychological abuse, captivity in a basement, scalding in hot baths, and many other abuses. The abusers names are Gertrude Baniszewsi, her daughters Paula, Marie, and Shirley, her son John, neighbors Ricky Hobbs, Coy Hubbard, Anna Siscoe, Darlene MacGuire, Randy Lepper, Mike Monroe, and Judy Duke. Gertrude was sentenced to life but paroled after only 20 years, and died five years after her release of cancer. Paula only served a few years, during which she escaped from prison and was re-captured twice. Pregnant during Sylvia's abuse and murder, she gave birth while in jail and named her daughter "Gertrude". Hobbs, Hubbard, and John Baniszewski only served two years, and are now deceased. Charges against all the others were dropped. Paula still lives somewhere in Iowa.

@batnear4 I know u made this a while ago but seriously, u think men aren't just as capable of this kind of thing? Ever heard of Ivan Milat for example? He committed atrocities just as bad. It's not just women by a long shot, i thought that was common knowledge... It's a HUMAN thing not a "woman" thing. Besides Gertrude was doing exactly that -"staying in the kitchen" as u put it. These matters are more complicated than some people obviously can fathom. They shouldn't be seen in black and white.
