  • Two young sailors in a bar were arguing about which was the quickest way of sailing to a given land fall with a strong head wind. They couldn't agree in spite of a lot of technical discussion on wind angles etc. They decided to ask an old sea dog who was nursing a rum in the corner. After putting their theories to him he replied, with a shaky voice "A 60 horsepower diesel!" Yours sounds really nice. What is it and how many HP and RPMs? Really nice boat.

  • My engine is a ford lehman 125 hp at 2500rpm. diesel. The trip to victoria and back, 60 miles, burned 10 gallons of fuel at 1200rpm.

  • beautiful sunrise, great video!:)

  • Yes! It must be really fantastic!:D

  • captainkruse: Are you looking for a first mate, by any chance? or is that Iris. Beautiful Iris. What a cat!

  • Beautiful video!!! My brother's birthday is Dec. 15th as well. Thanks, Grams

  • Can I be Iris' Godfather?

I'd always said Gracie, a plane-loving cat here, in our fly-in neighborhood, was the coolest: she sneaks into planes, stows away in the cockpit, when unsuspecting pilots stop to fuel up (the pumps are near her family's house).

But, now that I've seen Iris...

Project: our own Hedwig, a black Manx, has practiced wearing his life vest, flown in jets and recips, and hopefully will be out riding along in our seaplane this season.
