Chiiori hosts middle school field trip homestays from the Kansai area and participates in several outdoor events near Oboke Station.
Chiiori Trust is a non-profit organization centered on Alex Kerr's thatched-roof house in Japan's Iya Valley. The NPO aims to revitalize the valley through the preservation of old houses and creation of forward-looking, ecotourism projects.

Wow, great to see another update. Was wondering what was going on in Chiiori these days. I'm moving to Japan at the end of next month (still don't know my placement details yet) and visiting Chiiori is high on my to do list!
