An interesting addition to the events following this bill was National's decision to vote for it. I remember that the night before the final vote my MP (National) swore that National would vote against it. Of course, within hours Key had altered the bill in a way that turned a law change with merit to a law change without intelligent substance. The Nat's welcomed human error into the equation.

It went on for far too long. You forgot to mention that the bill passed for those viewers who are unfamiliar with the result. There weren't enough quotes for a personal political analysis in my opinion. The song choice, however, was superb! :-)
