問題天天都多。網友 S 看到以下句子，有點疑惑：

The topic being discussed is very complicated.

她問：為甚麼要加 being 一字? 到底 being 怎樣用?

這句中的 being，是進行時態（continuous tense）的被動式（passive voice）寫法。看片就會明白。今次繼續用白板，反光問題已解決了，謝謝大家意見。

If you use nothing in between 'topic' and 'discussed' it wont sound as right. Without a conjunction in between the two words will make it sound incorrect and sometimes incomplete.

A better way to say it will be: The topic that is being discussed is very complicated.
