and he drowned the whole trumpet section with his saxophon, the trumpeters tried to play has har as thay could to here them self play. Dont know if its a true story, at least he told me like it was.

Funny storry: My big band teacher is one of todays graetest scream trumpeter (Maynard Fergusons manager gave him all of Maynards arr's and including his trumpet to him righ after he died, just to make sure im not overestimateing him) anyway, he told me about when he played in "clark terrys big bad band". thay wher practiceing the songs thay wher about to play. when the trumpet section played wrong Phil Woods whent standing in front of them and said "this is how u should play"...
