Made this video more for the audio than anything. Out in the rural areas of West Texas sound is isolated therefore seeming amplified. It gives a demension to machines, a language perhaps. I filmed this one just west of Marathon Texas off HWY 90.

  • what happened to georges channel?

  • Larry, there has been a Socratesesque conspiracy within the underbelly of the folkart internet world to have Chicken George's presence removed forever. He has fled into old Mexico.

  • I was reading an old interview with Merle Haggard & he said when he was young he lived where the steam locomotives passed by. Merle Haggard said it was a beautiful sound to hear when the Engineer held the steam-whistle open late at night.

An Artist understands the beauty of the sound intuitively, while a scientist would talk about the Doppler effect. The same old world but maybe 'loved' differently. (Still loved by both.)

  • wow... thats pritty cool!
