Roy Jones Jr. talks Bernard Hopkins Rematch April 3, 2010

After 17 years the wait is over as Roy "the Terminator" Jones Jr and Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins collide in a long awaited rematch that will finally add the final chaper to their 17-year rivalry. Hopkins vs. Jones II is set for Saturday, April 3 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The bout will be broadcast live on pay-per-view beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

The big difference between Roy and Bernard, Roy never learned the basics. Roy had so much natural talent, speed, and power, he didn't have to rely on traditional boxing techniques. Bernard has always been a good technical boxer. As he ages, and slows down, he simply uses his experience to anticipate his opponents. Roy lost some of his speed, and his unorthodox style no longer works. Most coaches will tell you, without boxing skills, you'll have a short career.
