Prortotype 2 is the new, up and coming game coing out for the PS3, Microsoft Windows, and XBOX 360 consoles in the year 2012. Prototype was revealed on December 6, 2010, at the website murderyourmaker.com, which is now http://www.prototypegame.com/p2/agegate.php. It was also revealed on the Spike Video Game Awards. This game is the sequel to the first Protoype, which is an open world action video game. (This is talking about the 1st Prototype). The game is set in New York City, where a virulent plague known as BLACKLIGHT is spreading through Manhattan. Those infected are mutated into hideous monsters of varying form, and an uncontrollable urge to kill all un-infected life forms. The US Marine Corps, under command of the black ops organization Blackwatch, is dispatched to contain it. At the center of it is the protagonist, Alex Mercer, an incredibly powerful shapeshifter with no memory of his past. Alex has the ability to absorb other individuals, taking on their biomass, memories, experiences, and physical forms. Parallel to the game's storyline is the ability to play the game as a sandbox-style video game giving the player freedom to roam Manhattan.
