I have had my rs for 6 years -best 250 quid i ever spent!
In that time i have also leant it to a friend for a year ,so it has done good service too!.The Honda is a great machine and usable for all round riding!
The gsxr1100 is for when i feel like a really long ride or a good race around lol.

I had a red one too, such a pretty bike esp. with OE pipes. I rode to S of France in Aug 88 and back in glorious sunshine. I thumped along desrted routes nationales at 50-55 mph and well over 80 mpg. Seeing your bike made me all nostalgic. Thank you!!

With no headwind about 90
with headwind you'll be lucky if it revs out in top.
Fit a smaller front sproket and it'll pull strong in all gears but loose about 10mph in top gear

Hi Dude. my rs had blue smoke like yours and i found two of the piston rings shatterd into many bits so i fitted a new set and its like a new bike.
