  • i know how you feel :(

  • I know what you are going through. I had it when I was 17.18 yrs old. I once didn't leave the house for 3 straight months. Even opening the front door to get the mail was a project. I used to hide when the doorbell rang, was afraid to answer the phone. Thankfully those days are long gone. I am not afraid anymore of being outdoors in public, etc. Hang in there, this too shall pass for you. :D

  • I agree that the most frustrating thing about SAD is that I never can make the slightest movement w/o analyzing it to death before, during & after I've made it. This is especially bad at work. I sometimes feel like a robot b/c I freeze when I'm having anxiety, & I have to force my limbs to move again. But when I do move, I 4get to breathe, & the movements are so stiff & robotic. What's worse, people notice it more times than not.

  • The most annoying part, I find, apart from sitting in a store wondering how everyone can go on the way they do, is explaining to someone why You cannot do things, and they respond with "I have the same thing", Right, That's why I sit in the house, and cut myself off from everyone. You know, Becuase I really Enjoy being alone all the time. Like how stupid can these people be, to think that I'm just lazy, or Don't wanna do it. its like explaining evoloution in a church.

  • Sometimes I feel like I can't change. But then I think about all of the progress I've made since high school. I'm still rather awkward around people but I no longer freak out when I know I'm going to be around people later.

    Stay strong.

  • I can relate to what you are going through. It does seem unfair that we feel so nervous and paranoid while other people go about the days care free. You must remember social anxiety can be overcome. It is not permanent.
