You are right brickboxer, the video was shot in an old room outside of the studio but on the compound of Prairie Sun Recording studio. The wiring was probably from the early 50's and not grounded the amp alone had a small hum with nothing plugged in. The camera was a consumer level Canon HD Vixia we plugged a zoom Hn4 into it (first time experiment) and forgot to adjust the mis record volume on the zoom. I think it came out well for a non professional rig.

This is a video review that debunks the preference for demo vs. talk. Although Johnny talks A LOT he offers valuable insight then plays so well when he gets down to it that the combination ends up being a great review. And what a guitar player! Some very interesting and unusual riffing to say the least.

Sounds absolutely fantastic, great tone. Hard to say how much of that is due to the pickups or just that it's Johnnny playing. There's also a cool compression that could have been caused by the overdriven mic Sometimes happy accidents yield great results.

I think it should be pointed out that the distortion heard on the bridge pickup when Johnny first starts to play, is due to the mic level being too high and not the pickup itself. During Johnny's opening comments, you can hear someone bumping up the mic level then quickly pulling it back after he starts to play. Correct me if I'm wrong but I that's what I heard.

Excellent demo there Johnny! Great pickups for sure but you have a nice touch as well. I really enjoyed it, just the right mix of dialogue and playing. The "tele-ish" tones and the pedal steel tones were so sweet. Please record some more and thank you!

Wowzers...great demo...I really like the added push/pull options...sounds great and a lot like a tele.
