This is a UNEDITED 4 min amateur 8mm film taken on a Gr 9 St. Mike's class field trip to CFB Moose Jaw & Bonanza. May 1, 1978. These are random shots taken throughout the day, you might be in the shot. Includes road to Moose Jaw, eating at Bonanza, Main street Moose Jaw, Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw,Snowbirds, ejection seat demonstration.
This was taken using a late 1950's Kodak 8mm camera. On an 8mm camera you shoot for approx 2 minutes, flip the film over on the spool and shoot for a further 2 minutes. This usually makes for short takes to conserve film. This film is ASA 40 Indoor film for use FLOODLIGHTS. I was really pushing it in the low light conditions. This transfer turned out a little darker than the original. It's good to remember the actual film frame size of 8mm film is 4.8 mm x 3.5 mm, so the enlargement is severe.
Love the classic film , ST Mikes Grad 91!
