Thermoelectric generator powered by tea light candles. This device will charge USB items as well as run radios/other low voltage equipment or charge nicads. Output 5V 400ma max. This has an smps converter to regulate the output. Apologies for the low quality.

  • You could put a piece of metal in the center of the shimney, then attach the pelter inside on top of that metal piece. The metal would act like a nice heatsink to protect the peltier from melting, but yet be directly above the flame, allowing more heat to be converted to electricity. Then just taper off the shimney like a cone, so it traps in heat more...

  • nice one!

For better performance u need to make some kind of shimney, but be carefull to not let the warm air get away too quickly though. It has to warm the peltier as much as possible.

It is necessary that the warm air from the tealight is not getting in touch with the 'cooler' side of the peltiers alu.

This is how you can get the most out of it.

    Keep up the good work!

  • How about a nice tutorial?

  • you ought to record more of this, explain it more, show it off as much as possible. youtube has a big niche for innovators like this, including myself.
