The old bus terminal "Terrestre de Cumanda" is no longer in use in Quito, Ecuador. Now the new modern bus terminal called "Terrestre Quitumbe" is the main bus terminal in Quito. The locals call the bus terminal "Tumbe."

Too reach Terrestre Quitumbe is fairly easy. From historic Centro in Old Town you would just jump on an electric trolley running south to the end. Then you follow the signs above and walk half a block to another trolley that takes you to the new bus terminal "Terrestre Quitumbe."

Once you arrive at the Quitumbe bus terminal you will find a modern building and finding a bus to your destination is pretty straightforward. On the lower level you can have a meal in one of the affordable food stands.

  • It looks very nice. Guayaquil, the biggest Ecuadorian city, has a nice terminal as well. When did you go to Ecuador?. Do you wanna go back?.

  • @Literario26 Hello and thanks for watching! Currently I'm still in Ecuador and enjoying Ecuador very much. I really liked Otavalo and Canoa the best so far. Take care! Scott

  • @Literario26 No, I went through some smaller Ecuador cities, but lived almost 4 months in Quito, ending this year on January 21. I lived in Buenos Aires and Santiago, (Chile) for the longest time since 2008, and BA is the jewel city down there. The Argentines don't deserve such a nice city. It may be one of the world's great cities south of the equator. But yes, Quito has very nice temperatures and is pleasant if you don't mind nearly daily rain that lasts 2-3 hours. Ciao, Bill

  • @powergirl901 That is great. What is your favorite place in Ecuador. Yes, Guayaquil is very hot. However, the cities located on the Andes Mountains have nice a weather all year round. Have you ever been to any other country in Latinamerica. Cheers from Guayaquil.

  • @Literario26 I lived for four days in the Bus station a Guayaquil. I took Transporte Ecuador bus to Quito...a good decision cuz the temperature there was rarely over 70 degrees in the winter or lower than 45 at night. Guayuquil is too damn hot, mucho calor, for me. But the bus terminal is great there. I left Quito for Miami Beach on Jan 21, 2011, exactly 5 months ago, but I miss the relaxation of the people of Ecuador. They have humor, would let me speak junk spanish with them, and get kisses.

  • parecido al terminal de la panamericana norte de lima peru ...

  • Awesome Terminal, I was there. Very nice
