  • I had a 71 with a 455 back in the day that was tuned to perfection. That car was so f***ing fast at a 20mph roll. There was no keeping the tires from spinning at a dead stop. I guess I need to start searching Ebay and CL for another....

  • 455 is extremely rare to find.

And yeah pretty much - 20 roll in 1st gear can snap a neck lol.

And thats in a stock 400

  • Those subarus wrx ain't all that , my 69 grand prix would leave you in the dust !

  • Um, hi - im compression I owned cars after 1970.

Way to act cocky douche bag.

  • I would go with the 69 period over any other gp

  • 70 IMHO

  • hahahaha that dude in the impreza underestimated the power of the GP that shit blew him outta the water lol i knew as soon as he started talking shit that he was done i have a 71 GP Sj myself except it has the 77 GP 400 in it and that bitch roars!!

  • @mardoxidee i agree

  • I Just sold my 71 Grand Prix Sj, with the original 455, I'll definitely regret it. lol

  • Good race, was your GP stock? I'm about to get my '70 bird w/a mildly built pontiac 350 a good running against my friends '02 WRX once I finish building the motor, I wish I had a 400 though lol

  • Good race, i like how the wrx gains once the GP hits top gear but then it pulls away again.

  • Well, that's was in 1979.. You could buy muscle cars on a song back then. People didn't want gas hogs. I paid $1500 for mine in pristine condition... I sold it in 81 for I think $900... When I bought it I had a shot at a Belvedere with a 440 for $400, bit it didn't have power windows and needed a paint job... My dad thought it was too ugly. Then I found a SS 427 Impala for a grand.. Again, crank windows... What I wouldn't give for any of those cars today..
