Microsoft = Quality (in Bizarro World)!

Xbox 360 #11 Red Rings (hardware failure). I had this happen with ten 360s in the first 18 months or so after launch. When MS acknowledged the problem and said it had been fixed with the new consoles, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought a 360 Elite. 22 months later, this happens. Alex, as angry and mistrusting of the complex as you are, I'm amazed it took you this long to come to this conclusion. The 360 was a piece of shit when it came out and you knew it was unlikely to improve. Especially with all the time that's passed. Microsoft is a SOFTWARE company that can barely put out software without similar problems. Why would hardware be any better?

Live may be better, but the PS3 is a better all around platform.

I never trusted Microsoft. I wrote an essay in college about what Monopolistic twits they were, violating laws in haphazard fashion and getting away with it. But I gave them ONE MORE CHANCE. They said the red-ring problem had been resolved with the Elite. So I went out and paid $450 for the piece of shit, since I do like LIVE. I chose poorly. I won't make the same mistake again. Sadly, the PS3 controller is GARBAGE while the 360 is perfect. MS got the controller right...everything else WRONG!

I responded to your comment, fadecy. I have no idea what happened to my response. It was a long one, too, because I had to edit it down to fit the character count. Now, I don't even remember what I said, outside of "Live is better than anything PS3 has, but Live is useless when the 360 breaks and the 360 breaks constantly." I hate the 360 with a passion. It's been a week and they haven't even sent my shipping label yet. In the meantime, I'm paying for the LIVE service I CAN'T FUCKING USE!

It's a face plate. I think I got it free with a pre-order of Eternal Sonata -- or whatever that game was called. Liked the look of it, so kept it on there ever since.

This isn't 2006 dude. The PS3 has just a good a line up as the 360 now. You just sound like a bit of a fanboy, I mean, you must be a fanboy to have the will power to put up with 11 broken consoles.

you should make a video saying that i hear too much that it could be fixed, therefore, having a healthy microsoft consumers. But thanks for the info, i knew the x-clamps would not work for long term.
