The Nikon 35mm 1.8G is the best step you can take when getting better glass. When you bought your camera you probably used the kit lens for quite some time. After a while it is time to step up. This 35mm is the best bet. The 1.8 aperture allows you to capture images in very low light and allows you to get extremely smooth bokeh in the background. If you are looking for a lens that will give you amazing results for the price I recommend picking up this Nikon 35mm 1.8.

  • I think you can change the mount for your 18-55mm.

just type on ebay : "nikon 18-55 mount" and look for the vr version

  • @varul2010 Funny you say this because I actually just ordered one haha. Looks to be a pretty simple fix. Thanks for the great tip!

  • Very good vid man :) getting a 35mm 1.8g myself and im glad i watched this :)

  • @PhunnyPunny Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it! Yes definitely get this lens. It's the best value for the money by far. It will blow you away.

  • @googlybear224 Hey np! I just got the lens and im really loving it! just one question tho, i think theres something wrong with mine. The focus ring, does yours spin endlessly? cause it seems that mine can be spun endlessly and has no stop, of course at a certain point the focus is no longer being adjusted and it seems that the ring can just spin and spin as much as you want in both directions. Is that normal?

  • @PhunnyPunny Awesome! Glad you are loving it! And to answer your question that is completely normal. Mine does the same thing. It does spin in both directions even if there isnt anything to focus. I did notice that when you spin it and it is focusing it feels different than when it spins without being able to focus, no idea if that makes any sense haha. But yeah its completely normal. Hope that helps!

  • This is a great review, thanks a lot! This lens seems like a good way to make my old D80 more interesting.. Pro reviews often focuses on the more technical stuff which is kind of hard to relate to/understand, this is exactly the info i was looking for! Keep it up!

  • Thanks

  • @CameronVsCam Aww man thanks for telling me! I never saw those before!
