Image search for "knitting" on Google. Apparently I'm the first one to look for that in awhile, and so I wanted to show my friends the 10,000 Chinese internet screening government workers in action. Eventually my request gets through their Queue and approved.

What goes on in other countries is none of our business here in America. 1. That's not the same idea. If the bank you work for went to your home and started filtering the sites you visit... that's a better comparison.

2. Google's filters are optional.

3. Google may have access to a lot of private data, but they also do a pretty good job of not abusing their power. They could do better, but think for being as powerful as they are, they're doing alright.
