Basking Shark Encounter

21st May 2010. The Basking sharks had just started to show up on the North Coast of Cornwall. Chris Lowe on the Atlantic Diver saw the first sharks the day before this video was shot. Thanks to Dan Brewer for calling around to tell me about this trip being planned last minute. Many thanks to Chris for his knowledge of these beautiful sharks and how to find them.
At no time were the sharks harassed in any way. To get this footage I watched how and where the sharks were moving. I then waited for them to come to me and remained motionless and calm so not to cause them stress.

@ogreeny i know they eat plankton and same thing with whale sharks, but ive seen vids of some whale sharks being kinda curious with divers and chasing them and opening their mouths, lol be a lot scarier if a basking shark did it
