Request - Is it lonely being an ALT?

One of my subscribers sent me a PM asking about how much free time I have as a JET and how I keep busy, etc. He wanted to know if it was lonely being out in a rural town like Taisha.

Thinking about this as I drove home from Matsue last month, I turned on my camera and combined a driving vlog with a viewer request vlog.

I can't speak for Taisha, but it goes right across the spectrum. ALTs range from perfectly fluent to almost none at all, depending on how much they knew before they arrived, and how much they studied after.
