@dregerclock Once you get high enough to command an entire fleet it's relatively similar (although much more realistic with limited resources and the need for a CAP around your carrier at all times). Before that however you can only command fighters and later smaller capital ships. They play like wing commander and bridge commander respectively.

I remember a looooong time ago I played the demo and I was really impressed but I never did get the real game and I think I'll do it now :)
