It has been noted that a collapsed trachea is more likely to occur when there is added pressure around the outside of the pet's trachea, such as when a pet is being restrained. Pet owner's can help with this condition by switching from a collar to a ChokeFree(tm) Pet Shoulder Collar.

  • @debg451 I sooo agree...we just rescued a shelter dog who was diagnosed with this and she is not liking her harness, which tells me that the previous owner used a collar with leash. So thanks to them our baby has a shortened life span of 4 to 5 years. For bigsidfan to say they are annoyed of their dogs "honking" is very sad not to consider the suffering the dog is going through.

  • Leases are bad, they need to make them soft-padded with instructions not to over tighten

  • My poodle mix Brandy has this now.

Its so annoying when she won't stop her "honking" all the time.

  • I see nothing funny about this, please educate yourself and buy a harness the collar is damaging his trachea. It's called collapsing trachea.
