Tankou Bushi - the Coal Miner's Dance. After a couple of minutes, the music failed. That didn't faze the ardent dancers on the uphill half of Main Street. They continued with the beat: dig, dig, dig, dig, yoisho, yoisho, back, back, push, push, push, safe, and clap. They kept the dance alive until the music came back on!! Great team spirit - Seattle Bon Odori dancers - you are awesome!

  • Those ardent dancer were led by their sensei Tyler. He was trailed by his loyal followers, the Bergano, Donahue, and Takahashi family. We will be back next year!!!

  • Didn't know it was Tyler, but I'm not surprised. Great job, Tyler - you made it so much more fun for everybody! Thanks and see you all next year!
