  • Can you please give me the evidence for that communion is the 100% body and blood as catholics believe. thanks so much

  • @dog3croom Jesus Christ says "This is my body" and "This is my blood". He says "my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink". The Church Fathers taught this. It is believed by the vast majority of Christians.

  • @SaintMichaelsMedia can you please give me the examples or quotes by the Church Fathers that said that ? thanks

  • @dog3croom I am sending you a link in a PM

  • @taytomonster It symbolizes the sword of the spirit, the sword of truth, and the spiritual struggle.

  • @RIMBR That is Natures, not substances. The substance of Jesus' body and blood is body and blood. He is divine and human at the same time, but the substance of Christ's body during the incarnation was body and blood (as It is now in the Eucharist).

  • @RIMBR A thing cannot have two substances - a thing cannot be two things.

  • @geedup415 Nah. You were never Catholic, pal. Were you really a Catholic, you would have studied your faith, your Church's history, the Scripture, and so on. You THOUGHT you were Catholic. You were a "lite" Catholic who was easily brainwashed by Protestants or the media out there.

    Sorry for your loss, pal.

  • @geedup415 I honestly don't think you were ever a Catholic. You didn't know your faith well, so therefore you weren't a true Catholic.

Another point (and just for the record): the Catholic church is not to "entertain" anyone. Most people leave it because "they don't feel anything". It's not about feelings nor "if you like it or not". The Church was founded for YOU from Christ.

  • >> I used to be catholic.

    Sorry for your loss.

    >> I saw that it didn't coincide with scripture.

Here is a hint; read the Bible and listen to what the people who wrote it say it meant. Don't just make it up yourself and ignore bits you don't understand or don't like the look of. Then you can welcome back the true faith of your youth.
