You live in the constitutional republic, not a democracy. And second of all I never heard of a democracy shouting down people and preventing them from making their point. Leftist who claim this is what democracy looks like need to learn to read a history book. Remember, you read from left to right and no, reading the summary is not the same as reading a book. @Keruaran that's more about being polite. free speech is a legal right, and a constitutional issue. horrowitz opposes rules that are used to say, prevent a creationist from obstructing the teachings of an evolutionary biologist. he wants students to able to talk anytime, anywhere. he is experiencing what it would be like teaching in a hostile classroom, the deck stacked against you. and as far as politeness, all i can say is once again, he was (and seemingly, continues to be) beyond rude.

I guess when you can't defeat somebody in the arena of ideas b/c of a weak position, the obvious thing to do is what these nimrods did and try and shut them down.
Another wonderful example of the intolerant left. At least that one college student gets it. I share his view in at least listening to both sides of arguments and not acting like spoiled rotten children like these leftists.
