Well, Elvis gained weight until 1977 BUT as far as I know there's only one Aztec (Sundial) Jumpsuit existing. ANd he already has worn that suit in 1974 and again in 1977... Thus he seams to be so corpulent. He indeed heavier in '77. But the reason why he seams so "fat" is: The suit was a bit too narrow....

Gowestward1 hits the nail on the head. Elvis's talent remains unsurpassed. I, too, am now 44, and I remember that sad day in August 77 vividly.

@Sonyasny So correct me if I'm wrong... He was taking medication for the described condition,, for the pain, which helped, for a while,,, but, some of those same drugs are kind of constipating(as drugs can be), which may have contributed to more blockage and thus, more pain... Sounds like he was in a catch 22 situation with no way out... exept the inevetable!!! What an awful way to go....

Look again. He has severe colon blockage and can't bend over to pickup the gift without pain. Look at his neck, his butt,his legs and arms. Not overweight, but very very ill. He was hemorrhaging at this time, a lot, refusing the surgery needed because it would have kept him from singing,which he wanted to do till he died. The drugs never got him high, only cut the pain enough so he could perform till it was time to go. A very brave, courageous man...

@Sonyasny Yeah,this is the saddest video(his last concert).You can tell that this man was dying right in front of everyone's eyes.Someone said once in a book that Elvis was like a fine race horse that was being pumped full of crap so that the owner(the colonel)could race him again.How very sad but it does show that no one loves their fans more than Elvis loved his.NO OTHER artist will ever live up to him or his sweetness with his fans,the ones that truley loved him.Why wasn't I born in his era!
