Hello I also tried to hack it using an arduino last year. I had similar problems to you and gave up.:-) If you just use a midi to CV converter and solder its CV & gate to the monotron circuit board it will work fine. If you have since this video solved the problem using your Arduino I'd love to see how you did it. Cheers mate

What value capacitor and resistor are on the pitch cv path?

@loneguitaristyannis I cant remember exactly what values were used as this was a while ago now, but it worked out to a cutoff of ~30Hz I think.

@loneguitaristyannis You should! The method I attempted in this video doesn't work, however I have had some success (with a little help!) sending CV through a DAC. I've posted a video of it in action on my channel.
I'm currently editing the code so that it tracks over 5 octaves (in the video the code only lets it track over 1).
