  • its really annoying how u swallow so much

  • They cannot beat my Pentium II Slot-CPU by size :D

  • Haha...you guys are funny, the processor is bigger because of the Thermal Design...

  • @TehTann3r They do they add features that increases the size. However, Sandy Bridge E is just a 32NM Ivy Bridge.

  • @darkitp Remember when they came on cartridges with just passive cooling or a tiny ass fan? lol how things have changed.

  • @R3leaZ Nah, you can get smaller still. They made them bigger so they can just fit more in a bigger area, when they have another die shrink they'll be able to fit even more in the same space and thus have even more performance and better efficiency as the space between the transistors will be even smaller. The next step is the "3D" trasistors, then some time down the line we'll likely start seeing quantum computers as the tech improves and a "slow! one of them will destroy everything we have now

  • @huldu You shouldn't really be using these things for gaming, at least not as the primary purpose. They're more for a budget (if you believe that lol) workstation type set up for when you can't afford or don't quite need the power of the dual socket Xeon systems.

  • @TehTann3r No thats just our wallets :(

  • @TehTann3r for example a cpu whit the 2011 power but the 1155 technology would be alot bigger;)
