Track Ten the short film youve been waiting to see! First off, hit the pause button for a minute... Ill tell you when you can start the video again.
In 2002, Chris Corsello (thats me) boarded the Amtraks Empire Builder after transferring from the Coast Starlight. I was on route from Sacramento, California to Chicago, Illinois. The trip takes a couple of days and during the first day on the train I made friends with a couple of other people on the train. In the course of our conversation I mentioned that I enjoy making short movies with my video camera... improvised movies... not professional productions. They all thought it sounded like a lot of fun, and being on my way to a vacation, I had my video camera with me.
None of us knew each other when we boarded the train, and had no intention of making a short film. The task was now before us. We had to come up with a story line that would fit with the limited props that we had with us on the train. That night on the train, we plotted out our film, which eventually became known as Track Ten. (Youll see why when you watch the film.) I came up with the general idea and then allowed each person to define their own character. As we filmed, others on the train wanted to get involved. If we had more time, there would have been another 5 or 6 people that would have joined the production. (Does anyone still wonder why I love riding the train so much?)
OK, almost ready to hit play. (You are still paused, right?!) First, go make yourself some popcorn, because I did trim this down a bit for YouTube and managed to get it under 10 minutes, by about 1 second... but still 10 minutes! Next, watch this on full screen mode please, it is a short film in its essence. Finally, they say leave the last for best, well, I didnt do that. This is probably my best short film that I ever made... but now that I have pulled out all my old equipment, I have ready access to many of my old videos. You may see more, but be forewarned you have already seen the best one. Oh well.
Now with that said, please help me out. I will be heart broken if this video gets very few views... so I am counting on you, especially those of you who have actually read this. Please click the favorite button. Post it on your page... maybe even give it a mention on your channel... send it to friends, embed it on myspace or facebook... any little bit helps... yes I am begging here. Please help my video be seen.
NOW: Press Play. (Dont forget, FULL SCREEN)
Then come back and read the credits, because they flash past rather quickly in order to make my 10 minute limit.
Also, if you know any of the people in the video, besides me obviously, please let them know as none of them ever got to see anything more than the raw video. Not everyone even got to see the raw footage as some got off the train before others. Also, it was not shot in order and music was added after I got home, so these people have no idea what kind of masterpiece they were involved in.

What song was at 6:00?

The song is called "Thank God You're Doing Fine" by a band once known as "Lawsuit." They are one of my all time favorite groups, but sadly, they only existed during the 1990's. They were from Davis (near Sacramento) and consisted of about 12 members including horns and percussion. They were incredible and varied in their music considerably... so much fun live, everyone danced! About a year or so after they broke up their lead singer died, along with him any hope of reunion.
