Resident Evil 4 knife run_Chapter 3-3

Perhaps the shortest chapter in the game. The only trouble is the cage, and as usual there is a bow gun Zealot causing most trouble. Also as usual, you have to be lucky to avoiding his arrows while you're in the cage. And yes, one more pistol bullet had to be used here on the painting. There's no way to crush that wine bottle with the knife.

Pistol use:

Shooting the wine bottle in the painting.

Rules and info about this knife run:

1: Knife and pistol only.

2: Pistol may only be used where the knife is useless (eg shooting down mad truck drivers or defeat Salazar).

3: No selling, buying or upgrading from the merchant.

4: No typewriter savings.

5: No continues.

6: Professional difficulty

The sound might be a bit off, but it's because I had to convert between different formats a couple of times in order to get the clips from my DVD Recorder to run on my PC and ultimately, on YouTube.

Also, I'm now using AVS Video Converter instead of Total Video Converter. There are two differences:

1: AVS leaves a water mark on every movie that pops up pretty often to tell you I'm using an unregistered version of the program. But it's small and it doesn't do much damage to the movie.

2: AVS doesn't have a trial period, meaning I can use it forever! So you better get used to that water mark! :P

I'm playing the GameCube version in PAL50. But there's no difference in speed from NTSC (US) or PAL60. The only difference is that the framerate is a little lower than NTSC and PAL60.

Important info for all American watchers! (and Japanese, too) The knife is TWICE as strong in the PAL GameCube version as it is in the NTSC GameCube version. Thanks goes to a guy nicknamed "Candyman" for helping me find this out. With other words, doing the knife run on the PAL version is much easier than on the NTSC version! (but it's still not easy, mind you)

Well, I just record directly to my DVD Recorder's hard drive. I have to play in 50Hz though, because I live in Sweden. XD But as I stated in the info, RE4 runs just as fast in 50Hz as it does in 60Hz, the only difference is the frame rate.

Erm, he skipped the cutscene, so the blind guy hadn't even dropped into the cage yet. Its a very useful trick, besides, you can hear him behind Leon in the vid anyway :\

yeah indeed, that's strange. not only that his knife is such powerful, but when i play it on the ps2 version, there's always that blind guy in the cage. it's on every difficulty (easy, normal, professional)

your knife breaks that lock a lot faster then it should and theres no blind claws guy in your cage this pro version is a lot easier then i remember
