  • Would be great to see a series exactly like this on TV now.

    But we won't, because:

A: Not enough blood and guts

    B: No computer graphics

C: No wagonmasters finding their feminine side

  • I use to watch this show on Saturdays with my Grandfather how I miss those days and my grandfather

  • Yes, lets just airbrush the red indian out of history or use him for target practice or something. As long as Hollywood's rose tinted view of the indigenous population can be covered by music which makes us all feel "goosebumpy" I guess it's ok.

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! THANKS so much for posting this classic TV Western theme! Composed by the late great Jerome Moross..a true genius. And the composer of one of my all time fave movie soundtracks: 1958's "The Big Country". You've MADE my day & my week! CHEERS, mate !!! :)

  • @rsjtoday I used to watch this with my grandfather was great

  • nice

  • Those were the good old days! Rawhide, Wagon Train, Bonanza, The Big Valley, Gunsmoke, and don't forget The Lone Ranger. Saturday mornings and even primetime TV was at it's best during the 1960's

  • I recall as a boy, my dear old dad used to watch every western ever made on TV. No complaints from us kids. We loved it. And yes there were morals to the stories, and the writing was first class. I miss those days. I miss my dad and I miss my youth. I miss the days when cussing was forbidden and violence on screen was left to the imagination. I miss the days when TV stars weren't coke-fiends or worse. I feel sorry for the kids these days, because they'll never know how good we had it.

  • The absolute best Western on TV as a child. I loved each character. I learned to cook biscuits over an open fire just like Wooster did...after several tries. I loved to 'old pioneer' stories with Ward Bond.
