How To Jailbreak 3.1 Firmware Any iPhone or iPod Touch (MAC)

This will only work for iPhones or iPod Touchs that are jailbroken already on 3.0 or 3.0.1. All iPhones and iPod Touch's can be jailbroken on 3.1 except for the new iPod Touch 3rd Gen.

NOTICE: if you updated to 3.1 through iTunes, then you can't jailbreak using this video and will have to wait for redsn0w. You can try downgrading even though some users have reported it not working, worth a try.

My carrier name is not moving anymore. Any help? After making some changes in winterboard and rebooting the carrier name stops moving. any ideas? It works perfectly though.

because the fact that the mods can only be tethered for now, tethered meaning every time u turn it on it will have to either reset or go into itunes for it to work again, and it wont be jailbroken again and again
