he basically just informed them that he's about to take over the world through ground-floor infrastructure superiority in the next media paradigm, and he said it so politely, and with such precise language, that they barely noticed. he is a fucking genius.

"One of the best things about the technology industry is that it is not zero sum.....one of the best things is that we are building real value in the world, not just taking value from other companies." - Mark Zuckerberg
Nice point, although maybe it's part building, part taking, which is fair trade off IMHO.

“You can have everything in life you
want, if you will just help enough
other people get what they want.”
~Zig Ziglar~
It seems to me that Mark Z. understands this principle. The fact that Mark does not see his business as a "zero sum game", trying to capture all the markets of other businesses, says quite a bit.
As a facebook user myself, I do not agree with all of Mark's policies; however the philosophies behind his platform are understandable.

Well, every time you view a website, all your doing is downloading everything on it. Literally. If you're looking at it, it's on your hard drive. Grabbing any photo is just a matter of right-clicking. More then half of the people on the internet AT LEAST have the ability to do this too any photo/video. The idea: your shit is not safe anywhere. Better keep your family photos in the garage form now on.
