SUP Whitewater Instruction - Stride Airlite HD River Board

The US national Whitewater Center is a great place to whitewater stand up. Here are a few basic tips for paddleboarding the river.

When stand up paddleboarding whitewater is is important to maintain forward speed with powerful forward strokes. Make sure to keep the nose of the board up and out of the water when punching through holes and paddling over ledges and waterfalls. Always keep your knees bent. Having the knees bent will help to maintain balance on the board and to absorb shock throughout rapids. Stand Up in whitewater will always be a challege with exciting and dangerous obsticals to overcome. Always be prepared and take the necessary precautions on the river to be safe. -Luke Hopkins
