In the 1974 Metropolitan, as is mentioned in this recording, Arbees Boy beat Forego while Forego was carrying 134. What isn't mentioned is that Arbees Boy was assigned 112 pounds for that race; Forego spotted him 22 pounds and still managed to come in second (I could swear that Mr. Tommy Trotter was trying to kill him)! I enjoyed Zenyatta's winning streak, but here isn't a horse today that can do what Forego did.

I remember this wonderful horse. I remember them putting more and more weight on him every time he raced and won. I felt they wanted to stop him but he kept going.
