THE RETURN OF FRANK JAMES — Henry Fonda, Gene Tierney

Plot:
After Bob Ford shoots Jessie James in the back, Frank James assumes that he and his brother Charlie Ford will be tried for murder. A court rules for the Ford brothers, since Jessie was wanted 'dead or alive'. Enraged by the court's decision, and what he perceives as a miscarriage of justice, Frank hunts down the now famous Ford brothers. He catches up with them at a theater during a dramatic reenactment of the shooting in which they star in a totally fraudulent account of the killing. Jesse and Frank are depicted as robbers of common folk, and Frank is shown hiding behind a woman. Frank decides now is the time to make the Ford brothers pay. Frank gets Charlie.
In her first major film role, sparkling Gene Tierney is beautifully sweet as a reporter enamored with Frank.

Just selecting locations and setting up the camera must have been quite a task.

@Emillysilly Saw this movie may years ago and the only part I remembered was the horse chase. Watching it again after all these years is still a sheer pleasure. Seems like there were two blacks used in the chase but its hard to tell from this clip. Also, the bay had to be one of the luckiest stunt horses. Major credits to the film crew and riders.

There are Blacks in the movie; one in particular is the cause of Frank's return for trial. "Stymie" gets a cameo.

Please forgive me, I was not refering to people, was thinking that there were two black horses used in the Frank James chase scene. At 3:47, the horse has a small star. At about 06:51, the black has a larger star.
