I am proud to personally know Dr. McCoy and his family. Being a co-writer of Severing the Achievement Gap in the Education of Student, and working with different people at UMSL has shaped me into a mature young woman. With the aid of my family, Dr. McCoy, and the Rockwood School District, I am able to continue with the SAGES Mentoring program as a high school senior.

Dr. Art McCoy is one up the young upcoming African-American leaders who has completely given his talents and gifts to create a movement of change in education! Circles in African-American communities are better places when we give ear to young pioneers wrapped so tightly in the passion demonstrated by that of Dr. McCoy!
