The Alt de Facto models pay homage to some of the classic American guitar makers of the mid 20th century. From the aged nickel hardware and well-worn feel of the distressed lacquer finish to details such as the traditional German carved top of the RB6, the vibe is purely vintage.

Although the Alt de Facto's are built on a solid foundation of classic aesthetics and time-tested materials like alder, swamp ash and mahogany, they are propelled into the 21st century by features that include a compound radius fingerboard, TonePros and Gotoh hardware and custom wound Fralin pickups that deliver a wide range of tones suitable for any style of music.

Each Fano guitar is individually handcrafted one at a time, so no two are alike.

Specifications:

TV Blue Finish
Mahogany Body
Mahogany Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
Lindy Fralin Pickups
Reliced Nitro Finish
Compund Radius
Stellar Tone Control
Compensated Brass Saddles

  • Was that built by Dennis Fano or by one of the builders at Premier Builders Guild? I know the PBG shop is in Orroyo Grande, CA.

  • @kammanaut Yes it was built by Dennis Fano.

  • are those P90 pickups?

  • @GuitarGuys337 NOT JUST P-90'S LINDY FRALIN P-90'S!!!!!

  • Great tones! Will we be seeing any other Fano guitars soon? I'm a sucker for that RB6... Too bad I don't have $2,500 burning a hole in my pocket.

Also, you said these are relic-ed, and judging from Fano's website I see that some have a more "heavy relic" look than others - do you know if you can order one with NO relicing? I like to do the damage myself ;-)

  • @dlheidemann I've never seen one with out some distressed finish but the do custom orders so I would think they could do one with a non distressed finish.

  • this is amazing tone.

  • Great demo! Particularly the run-down of the tone knob.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional guitar!!

  • Very interesting instrument - an LP body & head & tuning machines; a Tele bridge & controls; and that Fralin P-90!. The result is just great - a very, very versatile guitar. And Mark demoes it perfectly! Kudos to the maker and to you, guys.

  • @GuitarGuys337 nice was that a single coil in the bridge?
