The short Fenix L1D Premium Q5 flashlight puts out amazing light for its svelte 2.2 ounce weight (with Lithium batteries) and for using just ONE AA battery. The L1D Q5 makes an outstanding EDC light and incorporates the new technology I spoke to in my "Shedding Some Light" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfQ3Ghbn1R4). Despite using these easy-to-find ubiquitous power cells, this light cranks out some impressive brightness levels and run times: low power at 12 lumens: 25 hrs, med at 53 lumens: 5 hrs, high at 107 lumens: 2 hrs, SOS/Turbo mode at 120 lumens: 1.5 hrs. This performance is made possible with digital regulation/control that maximizes and smoothes power delivery to the extremely bright Cree 7090 XR-E LED. Variances can be expected with different power cell types and temperature but generally speaking L2D can crank out a lot of usable light to about 25 meters (your mileage may vary!). Other upside includes: simple and easy to master switchology, waterproof to IPX-8 standards, quality construction throughout, glass lens with AR coating, numerous included accessories (belt carry case, lanyard, o-rings, and switch cap cover), tactile click switch thats easy to manipulate in cold or loud conditions, flush mounted switch (allows vertical standing of the light for lantern use; prevents accidental on), well-culminated beam with no artifacts from the textured reflector, and some very useful accessories like a diffuser tip, wand extension, headband, and bike light mount (all purchased separately). It's these accessories that enable the Fenix L1D to replace many other lighting products and still provide similar performance. And all of this comes in at a reasonable price for the utility achieved. A reliable and tough lighting tool is a critical part of your kit and the Fenix L1D is a smart choice that will serve you well for many years. ////////////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 8 out of 10

  • Jeeeze does this guy talk a lot. But it is informative. Thanks.

  • @gazizzerbumph We tried imparting everything he knows about this Fenix through mental telepathy, but you never seemed to notice so we had to resort to actual talking.. . -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Left mine by accident in my pant side pocket, and my wife put it through the washer and drier cycle ...... I yelled a bit and got pissed off, but It Still works like a charm ! ..... I forgave her by the way ...... ;)

  • I'm big into flashlights, and I like what you're doing, but darnnnnn... A minute and a half should be more than enough to extol the virtues of one of these. I'd be a fan if you could please make these a bit more concise. Thanks.

  • i use this as my all rounder light, since the size, brightness and weight are perfect for me.

  • I am really starting to consider the l1d for my truck gun light...if i can find one. I use the LD10 for my EDC but that is a bit too price for me to get another right now.

  • @gazizzerbumph You will find Nutn has the most through reviews on the tube...that takes time. Besides that, most of us "TNPers" enjoy the personal experiences, philosophies and opinions...I know I do. I KNOW that if Nutn says it’s ok...it’s ok and if it’s not then it’s a lemon.

  • Yo, nut man, your sister hacked your account.

  • @Jboost1122 so who won the 2 ld10's gifts? also do they like the ld10?

  • See its a nuttinfancy video. Click elsewhere.

  • Both are too big for my small pack.
