  • She is more than a great musician singer- she is audio magician! RDW Productions.

  • at first it sounds like i'm at a chinese restaurant...

but a chinese restaurant with really good taste in music.

  • she's quite fantastic this one...

    Imogen Heap's analog twin ;)

  • Fantastic stuff!

A small note on the accent thing though. The Swedish band "Kent" has a singer called Jocke Berg, and, he sings with a pretty distinct accent, and, the first thing that sprung to mind when I heard this song was that she sang like him. Hes not from Gotland though, but from Eskilstuna :-)

  • I think she tries (and succeeds) to sing the parts in her left mic as Ane Brun sings them on the album. Ane Brun is from Norway, so I guess it's supposed to be a Norwegian accent. I think it sounds very much like Ane.

At 4:32 she sings without the accent you're talking about.

  • At 4:32 ("Och jag vet, jag tar inget för givet") her accent is plain Swedish. In the rest of the song I guess she sings it the way Ane Brun sings it on the album, and Ane Brun is from Norway, so it's sort of an Norwegian accent.

She usually tell the audience that, when she sings in the left mic (from her perspective) it's Anes parts. So actually she doesn't sing in her "own" voice that much.

  • @BabyVice06 Yeah, the islands called Gotland, and they have a quite speciall dialect, but when she sings it sounds like she's puting an american accent over her swedish accent, but it could also be her "gotländska" now when I think of it.

  • @edissortofdead

I saw her perform live a few weeks ago, and someone asked her about speaking Swedish. She actually said that since she's moved to America, her Swedish accent has improved. If I remember correctly, I believe she stated that she is originally from a very small Island with that particular dialect or something of that sort.

  • beautiful.. a siren song..

I don't know how she keeps up with what she's doing and trying to sing in Swedish as well, unless that's her first language (?)

some of her techniques remind me of what Soft Machine did in the studio (Chloe and the Pirates, late 70s), but she does it all live and by herself - amazing!

she can put you in a trance, in a good way

    .. the jman ..

  • Her swedish accent is kind of messed up, I guess that's how it gets when you spend most of your time speaking american, but it's nice to see that she does things in swedish to.
